When driving three or more horses abreast, you have your hands full already—figuratively. You don’t want or need three or more sets (literally) of lines to control your horses. Check Lines are the most efficient and effective way to safely drive your team without being overwhelmed.
Focus on where you want them to go as a hitch, not on which individual horse you need to rein in or out. They are adjustable so you can create more or less room between your horses.
Each additional horse requires 2 check lines.
