Return & Refund Policy
1. Overview
We want you to be satisfied with your purchases from Alberta Carriage Supply Ltd. If for any reason you are not, you may return eligible items under the terms below. This policy applies to both small items (accessories, parts, harnesses, etc.) and large items (carts, wagons, forecarts, custom vehicles, etc.).
2. Return Timeframe

3. Conditions for Returns
- The item must be unused and in “as new” condition, with all original tags, packaging, documentation, and accessories.
- For large items: must be returned (or made available for inspection) in the same condition as delivered. If the item was installed or put into service, it may be subject to restocking or reconditioning fees.
- Customer must provide proof of purchase (order number, receipt, invoice).
- Any signs of damage caused by misuse or wear & tear may void the return.
4. Return Shipping / Pickup Costs
- Small items: customer is responsible for arranging & paying return shipping costs unless there was a defect or error on our part.
- Large items: because of their size, weight, and shipping logistics, the customer is usually responsible for arranging and paying return shipping or pickup, unless the return is due to a defect or mistake by us.
5. Restocking & Handling Fees
- A restocking fee of 10-25% may apply for small items returned without defect — amount depends on item type and condition.
- For large items, restocking or reconditioning fees may be higher, based on shipping, labor, and condition.
- If packaging is damaged or parts missing, additional fees may apply.
6. Refunds, Exchanges, or Store Credit
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, refunds will be issued to your original method of payment. Processing time may take 7-14 business days after we’ve received the item and completed the inspection.
You may choose an exchange (if available) or store credit instead of a refund. Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to a defect or error on our part.
7. Large / Oversized or Custom Orders
- Custom orders (built to customer specifications) are non-returnable or may only be returnable at limited restocking fee, unless there is a manufacturing defect.
- Large/oversized items requiring special shipping (flat-deck trucking, etc.) may incur extra shipping or handling fees in a return.
8. Defective or Damaged Items
- If you receive a defective or damaged item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
- Include photos and description of damage/defect.
- If verified, we will cover return shipping (or arrange pickup), and either repair, replace, or refund the item (your choice, where feasible).
9. How to Initiate a Return

- Provide your order number, item(s) to return, reason, and, for large items, images if appropriate.
- We will issue a Return Authorization (RA) number, and provide instructions for returning or dropping off the item.
- Pack the item securely (original packaging if possible) and ship or arrange pickup per instructions.
- Keep shipping/tracking confirmation until we have received and inspected the item.
10. Exceptions & Non-Returnable Items
- Items made to customer specifications or custom orders (unless there is a defect)
- Clearance or final sale items (if clearly marked)
- Items that have been used, installed, or put into service beyond inspection
- Items missing parts, accessories, or original packaging, unless due to manufacturer’s packaging or shipping
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Return & Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website; the policy applicable to your purchase is the version in effect at the time of your order.
